Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Italic app at app.italic.com and its companion apps, operated by Italic, Inc. They do not govern purchases from the separate Italic online store. By using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

What Italic does

Italic helps you record and transcribe voice memos, sync and search your content, chat about it, and prepare actions. Optional connectors can send Gmail messages and create Google Calendar events from your connected account. Features may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable from time to time.

Your account and content

You are responsible for the security of your account and devices, for the content you submit, and for ensuring that you have permission to record, upload, or share it. You retain your rights in your content. You give Italic permission to process it only as needed to operate the app and its features, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service to violate law, infringe others' rights, send spam, or interfere with the service or other users.

Connected services and actions

Connecting a Google account is optional and requires your authorization. You can disconnect it in Settings or revoke access through Google. Italic normally presents an email or event draft for your review, but you may choose to allow a tool to act without asking each time. Check recipients, calendar, dates, and other details carefully. If you enable automatic actions, you authorize Italic to execute actions that match your configured rules without a separate confirmation. You remain responsible for your instructions and the consequences of actions taken from your account. Google and other third-party services have their own terms and may change or limit access independently of Italic.

AI-generated content

Transcriptions, summaries, chat replies, and suggested actions can contain mistakes. Review them before relying on them, especially for important decisions or communications. Italic does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice through these features.

Availability, changes, and ending use

You may stop using the app, disconnect integrations, or delete your account in Settings. We may update features or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operation of the service. We may revise these terms and will post an updated version and effective date; where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Service limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
